Sadly, we have been unable to rehearse together since March 2020. We have, however, continued to meet regularly online which has been invaluable to many of us when considering our wellbeing. Our meetings have been very varied and, hopefully, educational too. Our Musical Director (Linda Purdy BAHons, FTCL, FISM) has covered a range of subjects to improve our listening and music reading skills as well as quizzes and games. We have even had a recital evening giving members the opportunity to perform to one another.
In the Autumn of 2020 a few of us even managed to put together a recording which we felt described us very well!
During this difficult time, funding has obviously been an issue as planned concerts have had to be cancelled and there has been a lack of opportunity for new bookings.
Looking ahead, we are due to celebrate our thirtieth anniversary this November. We very much hope to be able to all meet again in person and play together for this. Perhaps even a concert involving past members too ? Could this include you ?
